FUNCTION BOOKING POLICY:
All Functions are booked subject to the following terms and conditions:
- A deposit of £100 is required to confirm any booking.
- All deposits paid to The View Seaford Ltd are non-refundable.
- Cancellation of any confirmed booking must be made to The View at Seaford Head, in writing.
The following fees will apply:
2 months prior to event

- Final payment and final attendee numbers for functions must be received at least 14 days in advance. Any amendments to catering choices i.e. changing from 3 courses to 2 courses, made within 14 days of event, will still be charged.
- Reductions in numbers can be made up to 14 days in advance of the event date. Any decrease in numbers after this point will still be charged.
- No external catering is permitted at The View.
- Where a booking is made for an event or function 12 or more months in advance The View reserves the right to renegotiate, increase or adjust quoted prices in line with inflationary or other financial factors and considerations.
- Corkage may be available by prior arrangement for wine, champagne and prosecco at £15.00 per bottle. This must be agreed and paid for in advance. The number of agreed bottles must be given to the staff at the View and served by the staff. Any unopened bottles will be returned and the subsequent corkage refunded.
- The View at Seaford Head reserves the right to refuse, cancel or change any aspect of your booking that could potentially cause damage to the premises or the grounds.
- We will not tolerate any abusive behaviour towards any of our staff. Any abusive or inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate cessation of your celebrations and the police will be summoned to the venue.
- The client/organiser will be liable for any loss or damage caused to The View’s property or injury to any person including the staff and is ultimately responsible for the behaviour of their Guests. We may require a Damages Deposit upfrontthat will be refundable after the event if no damages have been caused.
- We encourage the responsible consumption of alcohol; the staff and management reserve the right to refuse service to any guests we deem to be intoxicated. Our decision is final and we will exercise our duty of care.
- The use of any non-prescription drugs is prohibited. Any person caught or suspected of taking illegal substances will be asked to leave the venue, the Function will instantly be ceased and the police may be called.
- The View reserves the right to judge acceptable levels of noise or behaviour from all clients and guests and retains the right to terminate the contract without being liable to any refund or compensation.
- The View does not accept liability for damage of any goods including decorations or equipment held on behalf of the client before, during or after the event.
- We are able to offer a pre-paid bar tab service for functions.
- Candles/lanterns/naked flames are not permitted to be used at The View facilities.
THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
Booking:
Provisional bookings will be held for a maximum of a week, after which time a deposit of £100 required to secure your booking. If a deposit is not received within a week, the booking will be released.
Please note that any outside company coming in with audio equipment or providing any draping of the suite must provide proof of public liability insurance and a PAT Certificate.
Access:
Exclusive use of the venue will apply from the start time agreed with the Events Staff until midnight. Earlier admittance for decorating purposes can be discussed with the Events Coordinator.
The View Rules:
We require that all children are supervised by an adult at all times. Due to health and safety concerns, if children are not adequately supervised they may be asked to leave the venue. The View Seaford Ltd take no responsibility for any injuries or accidents to unsupervised children.
Due to health and safety requirements event guests are not allowed on any part of the golf course or on the golf buggies.
Smoking is only permitted on the outside terrace.
NO party poppers,glitter or confetti is allowed within the function room.
Our licensing:
Last orders at the bar are at 11.30pm; no further drinks will be sold after this time.
Music will need to finish by 12am. Please be aware that any entertainment provided by you must vacate the venue by 12.15am. Any failure to do so may result in a charge to yourselves.
Removal of presents and decorations:
We request that any presents and cards, which you may receive, are taken on the day of your event. We cannot be held responsible for the security of gifts etc. left on the premises without prior approval. Decorations can be picked up the following day.
